Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented Seamstress/Tailor with experience in alterations, repairs, and couture sewing. This role is hands-on and creative — perfect for someone who loves bringing garments to life, refining fit, and supporting the design process from concept to completion. Experience in pattern making or design assistance is a plus.
You’ll work directly with the designer on bridal gowns, eveningwear, and special projects, contributing to a collaborative and inspiring studio environment.
Responsibilities

Perform expert-level alterations and repairs on bridal, formal, and ready-to-wear garments

Assist with custom design projects and couture garment construction

Support pattern making, cutting, and sample development

Execute precise hand and machine sewing using couture techniques

Maintain organization of garments, tools, and workspace

Communicate with designer and team regarding fit notes and timelines

Handle fine fabrics, lace, and embellishments with care and accuracy
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of sewing or tailoring experience (bridal or couture experience strongly preferred)

Proficient in industrial and domestic sewing machines

Strong understanding of fit, fabric, and garment structure

Skilled in both hand finishing and machine construction

Pattern making or draping experience a plus

Detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about craftsmanship

Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a small creative team

Bonus Skills

Experience with couture finishing and embellishment techniques

Knowledge of sustainable or slow-fashion construction methods

Comfortable assisting during fittings or collaborating on design development
